June is upon us and to me; it seems like just yesterday that I was emailing everyone once a week about attending our 38th Annual May Seminar and Exhibits.
We offered twenty different classes over the two-day event, had thirty-five Vendors who participated on Exhibit Day and all total we registered close to three hundred people. If you weren't there then you missed a great event!
I'd like to take a moment to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who participated but most especially our Sponsors, Volunteer Speakers, Students and the Exhibitors. You are the foundation of the event.
We really couldn't have pulled things off without Tom Quilty of BD Consulting who coordinated our Speakers and Classes as well as Dwayne Healy of Pivot3 who assisted with the Vendor Exhibits - thanks to both of you for all your support!
If wasn't for the hospitality extended to me by the Puget Sound Chapter back in December we wouldn't have had the fantastic presentation that Mike Faddis, Sr. Technology Program Manager with Microsoft Global Security gave on Microsoft's Enterprise Security Solutions. Chris Hill, Vice Chair of the Puget Sound Chapter was also in attendance and I can't thank them both enough for coming down from Seattle!
So here we are gearing up for the summer and between work, graduations, weddings, vacations, there's so much to do, it's a good thing the days are longer….
If you feel like you need a break from it all, we hope you'll join us for an evening of good old fashioned networking on June 17th at 6:00 p.m. when we gather for our Second Annual Social Evening at Santana Row's Hotel Valencia V-Bar.
On July 22nd at 10:00 am Pixar Studios will host our Chapter Meeting and Eric Davis-Fernald of Pinkerton Consulting & Investigation is scheduled to speak on "Recognizing Suspicious Behavior - Your Guide to Personal Safety".
On August 19th we will host our 17th Annual Larry Marshall Memorial Golf Tournament at Spring Valley Golf Course in Milpitas. Lunch, golfing, dinner, awards ceremony, great prizes, drinks provided and don't forget the mulligans! Proceeds from this event will be donated to the American Heart Association in the name of Larry Marshall.
