As the newly elected Treasurer for 2010, I wanted to take a moment to explain the importance of chapter or event sponsorship.
The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (SFBAC) of ASIS International relies upon donations from organizations for its success. The funds received from sponsoring the chapter or our specific events go directly back into the membership for the professional development, recognition, and networking abilities of all active members in good standing with the chapter. Suffice to say, if the chapter were to go without sponsorship funds from organizations, we would not be able to host the events that we do each year and/or at the level of quality that you've come to expect. The very same can be said for the annual dues of each member of the chapter.
In return for an organization's sponsorship of the chapter, the SFBAC of ASIS has outlined in detail the options available along with return of your investment in the chapter or event of your choosing.
