Member Directory
Brad Minnis reported the member directory, which includes all relevant contact information is outdated. It was decided that the ASIS International yearly list would be the definitive directory.

May Seminar
Patrick Sharkey reported the event is still ahead of schedule with 76 Exhibit Booths reserved, 54 Seminar Attendees and 177 lunches sold.

ASIS National Virtual Forums
Brad Minnis was contacted by ASIS International on hosting 90 minute interactive training sessions on numerous security topics. The first session on Identity Theft is scheduled for June 11th. A conference room with a web connection and speaker phone is required to host the event. Patrick Sharkey has volunteered to coordinate the logistics of the meeting place.

Miscellaneous

  • Brad Minnis attended a memorial at the Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C. and recommends ASIS involvement.

  • Gary Supulveda is the Chapter Librarian; a discussion regarding the chapter’s CPP study guides availability at DeAnza College was discussed. An announcement at the local CPP study session regarding this study material was suggested and will be implemented.

  • A complimentary Seminar and Exhibits pass is to be raffled off at the June meeting. Also, the chapter will be sponsoring a table at the Foundation Dinner for a cost of $1,800.00

  • Brad Minnis was informed that ASIS no longer maintains a Director’s and Officers Liability Insurance policy. The local chapter is receiving bids for local D&O coverage. It was decided the lack of insurance coverage was unacceptable to the current executive committee members and maybe a detouring factor in having volunteer leaders in lieu of the liability factor.

Next Executive Council Meeting
Wednesday, June 11, 2003, 1100 at Symantec, Cupertino.
