2002 CPP Review Recap

Its been a good year for the CPP program.  In the program's 25th year, several new SFBA members became CPPs and one long time member was bestowed lifetime CPP. After three years as committee chair, we finally put together an informal CPP study group.  I have built stronger bonds with old friends and made new ones as a result.  ASIS International has committed to bring the CPP review to the Bay Area next year and they even recognized one of our own by making him CPP of the Month.

As we enter into a new year, I would like to see an increase in the number of CPPs in our Chapter.  By promoting the CPP program, formalizing a CPP study group, and with the CPP Review coming to the SFBA in March, I am confident this will happen.  However, I cannot do it without the support of our membership.  I would encourage volunteerism of current CPPs by being speakers or serving as committee members.  It is a great way to earn valuable recertification credit while serving the membership.  We also welcome the challenge of promoting and preparing our members for two new certifications.

I wish to thank the 2002 officers for support of the program this past year and those who volunteered their time as speakers to our study group. I look forward to serving you in 2003.

Have a happy and safe holiday season.

Sincerely,
Rudolph A. DuBord III, CPP
SFBA CPP Committee Chairman
