Features Feature

This year, watch this column for information about the various features of our web site. Each month we will be spotlighting a different web site feature to explain how it works and how it benefits the chapter and its goals.

This month's featured web site feature is The Debriefing Room.

The Debriefing Room is a bulletin board service specifically designed for the ASIS SFBA Chapter so that our members can exchange ideas, pose questions, and meet other members in our chapter.

We realize that you aren't always able to attend the meetings and to get the full benefit out of your membership.  The Debriefing Room allows you to get this support and networking when it is convenient for you whether that is while you are at work or when you are in the comfort of your own home.  Since The Debriefing Room is on the Internet you can even have this support when you are on the road.

The Debriefing Room offers you yet another way to communicate with other members.  It also allows you to open up topics of conversation online and to invite, or reply to, comments from other members.  This is an excellent location to bring up topics for future guest speakers and their subject matter.

Your privacy is protected by the same password protection that you use for entering the SFBA Chapter online Members Directory.  Since only our chapter's members have access to The Debriefing Room you can also use this as a way of arranging to share rides to meetings, make pre or post meeting arrangements, continue discussions that you didn't have time to finish at the meetings, or even to just touch bases with who else is going to be at the next meeting.

This is a great collaboration tool for security topics of special interest.  Now you can participate in on-going open conversations where members have the leisure of composing their thoughts and expressing their points clearly. Now you will have the time to look up and still share that piece of information that you wished you had been able to share at the meeting.

This is your private area to share with your fellow members.  Don't miss out on this opportunity to improve your networking ties, exchange ideas, and to have conversations that might not otherwise be possible.
