General Membership Meeting Minutes

February 15, 2001

• The meeting was called to order at 10:00 by ASIS Chapter Vice Chairperson, Connie Vaughn.
• Pledge of Allegiance.
• Invocation was lead by Ron Sathre CPP.
• Introduction of the head table, and new members.
• Introduction of all guests.
• Minutes from the last meeting were accepted.
• Treasurer's Report was read and accepted. A note was made about the importance of Chapter Dues.
• Dennis Haw CPP spoke regarding the financial audit of 2000 finances.
• Dennis Haw CPP spoke regarding the Annual Seminar and Exhibits - Thursday May 17, 2001 at the San Mateo Expo Center.
• Old Business - none presented.
• New Business - concern raised regarding the Newsletter. It can be viewed at www.sfasis.com.
• A survey will be conducted at each meeting and the results will be available on the web site.
• The goal is to raise membership by 10% this year.
• St. Patrick's Day meeting will be held at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Sunnyvale on Friday March 16th.
• Jim Serrano CPP of Novell was thanked for his generous donation of the Novell facility for the meeting.
• 10:25 - Chuck Welch, Manager of Network Security for Novell spoke on Network Security.
• Longest membership in ASIS was awarded with a small gift - those in attendance were:

• 11:15 The meeting was closed.
