I encourage all future CPPs to utilize the resources available to SFBA Chapter members. A security library located at the De Anza College campus is maintained with the latest recommended study materials for the CPP exam. Also, you can participate in an informal CPP study group. If you are interested, please contact Kiet Phan. We are also looking into bringing the ASIS Institute CPP Review Program to the Bay Area. This invaluable two-day program reviews the fundamental concepts and practices of security. Please contact me if you are interested in participating in a review or can provide space to accommodate at least fifty people.
If you are already a CPP, I encourage you to volunteer your time by being a presenter to the study group or the chapter. I would also encourage you to seek out those qualified to take the exam and present the benefits of the CPP program. One way to encourage future CPPs is to post your profile, which shows your past and present contributions to the field.
I look forward to serving you throughout 2001.
