General Membership Meeting Minutes

January 18, 2001

• Meeting was held at Cisco Systems in San Jose, CA.
• The meeting was called to order by ASIS Chairman, Ron Sathre CPP.
• New meeting format was explained and meeting turned over to Dan Wachtler who introduced David Walters from Cisco System to begin presentation on the Cisco eLearning strategy.
• Mr. Walters' presentation, accompanied by stunning audio/visual enhancements, was well received by the members.
• Mr. Walters was thanked for his presentation by Dan Wachtler.
• Ron Sathre CPP handed out a survey regarding the new meeting format, CPP, and new Membership application forms to the chapter.
• Meeting was paused to provide networking time with speaker and general membership.
• Ron welcomed new members and guests.
• December's minutes and treasury report were approved and will be posted on the web site.
• Scott Jenkins CPP, Connie Vaughn, Dan Wachtler, Patrick Sharkey CPP, and Mike Pinelli were recognized for their tenure in ASIS.
• Patrick Sharkey CPP, Committee Chair for the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter Annual Seminar and Exhibits announced that the event will again be held at the San Mateo convention center on May 17, 2001.
• Ron announced that the chapter has an immediate need for a chair on the St. Patrick's Day Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Luncheon to be held on Friday March 16, 2001. Contact Ron if interested. (Or click here to volunteer.)
