Chairman's Corner

Chairman's Corner

July is traditionally a slow month, as people wind down from the school year and make plans for the summer. That makes it a great time for you to do something for yourself. Our July luncheon speaker will help you learn to let go of that stress and free yourself to make the most of your natural talents, without getting bogged down by the day to day. Then in August it is time for the annual Larry Marshall Memorial Golf Tournament. Registration info is available here on the website and has been faxed to the membership. The event this year is Friday August 18th at Sunol Golf Course. Sign up today with Roni Davis, this year's Golf Tournament Chairperson, using the form on the website.

Also think about making your plans for the National Seminar & Exhibits in Orlando in September. As usual, there will not be an SFBA Chapter meeting in September, so go to sunny Florida and catch up on all the latest technology.

October is Security Officer Recognition Day, so put October 19th on your calendar, invite the officers you want to recognize this year, and get your reservations into Kendra.

While visiting the website also check out the enhanced CPP Page which has autobiographies of some of our Chapter CPPs. Several are highlighted in the newsletter, there are more on the CPP Page, and we will highlight certain ones each month in the newsletter. If you are a CPP and have not yet completed your form, submit it now please!

Chapter dues are being collected now, you may pay them via the website, at the meeting or submit your $20.00 check to Lynette Foulger, Chapter Treasurer. See the form on the web for details.

Our Chapter Directory is coming online this month behind a password protected area. We also have a survey asking about your preferences for a printed directory. The response so far has been that people are excited to have the directory on-line and do not need a printed copy. We do expect to have some printed copies available for pickup at meetings for the people that want them. Please let us know your thoughts.

Thanks and have a good month!
