Executive Council Meeting Minutes
Thursday, April 20, 2000 The meeting was called to order at 1:45 p.m. by Kathy Goelkel. Kathy announced her new contact information will be posted on the website as she has accepted a new job. Discussion was held on Chapter Dues and the Chapter Directory. Chapter Dues will continue to be collected at $20.00 per year . Directories will not be mailed this year to all members, but will be available for pick-up at certain ASIS meetings (probably July and August.) . A decision was made to put the directory onto the website in a members only section requiring a password. A database provided by the Americart Shopping Cart Service will allow easy maintenance of the directory, and also allow us to accept credit card numbers for program registration online through their secure server. Brenda Knox gave a Committee Report on the Annual Seminar and Exhibits in May. The first workshop provided by Chapter CPPs to promote study for the CPP Exam was held, with programs continuing prior to meetings for much of the rest of the year. Kathy reminded everyone that their Quarterly reports for the first quarter are due, and that one of the Goals of the Committee Chairs is to mentor another member who can take over when they move on. Kathy also requested that each committee work on submitting articles to the web newsletter. Articles should be submitted to Kathy Goelkel, email kgoelkel@rfi.com. Volunteers are needed to help with the newsletter/web page and also a new co-chair for Hospitality. The next Executive Council meeting will be held after the July luncheon program.
