Luncheon Speaker

Mr. David Lee, the Director of Community Education for the Support Network for Battered Women will be appearing at the Sunnyvale Hilton on Thursday, January 20, 2000, at noon, to speak on the topic of "The Impact of Domestic Violence on the Workplace". He will be joined by Sasha Morgan, the Support Network's Director of the Legal Program. They will also discuss the dynamics of abusive relationships; restraining orders, and resources regarding domestic violence.

David S. Lee, MPH, is the Director of Community Education for the Support Network for Battered Women in Santa Clara County, California. An active advocate to end family violence, David chairs the Community Education Committee of the Santa Clara County Domestic Violence Council. David has been involved in the movement to end domestic violence since 1982. He focuses on prevention and the development of community responses to end domestic violence. He has spoken at conferences throughout the country on violence prevention. He has provided training to educators, health care professionals, law enforcement, clergy, religious leaders, social workers, therapists, business leaders, youth and community organizations on the response to domestic violence.

Sasha Morgan, Esq. is the Director of the Legal Program at the Support Network for Battered Women. She has extensive experience in domestic violence and public interest law. Sasha chairs the Santa Clara County Domestic Violence Council's AWARE committee that coordinates a program to distribute in-home alarms for victims of domestic violence.
