Chairman's Corner

I would like to provide a very heartfelt "Thank you" to the hard working Annual Seminar and Exhibits committee. This committee has been working for a year and the result was an outstanding event with great speakers and a packed exhibit hall. Everyone liked the new location and, as always, it was a well-attended event.

This year there was the new addition of an invitational Chairman’s Social the night before the main day. This new event is an opportunity for the vendors to bring their customers to see the new products in an informal setting without the bustle of the full event. It too was a success and we hope to see more of it. Thanks again to this committee. Enjoy your time off. You have certainly earned it.

The 1999 Chapter Directory has been mailed and should be on your desks as you read this. Brad Wilson, Committee Chairman, and his staff worked very hard to make this valuable information tool new and improved. Included with the directory is the invoice for Chapter Dues. Be sure to return your statement and check early.

Connie Vaughn and Kim Space are hard at work organizing the August Larry Marshall Invitational golf tournament. This event will be Friday, August 20, 1999 at the Sunol Golf Club. Connie and Kim will be providing more information in the very near future. In the meantime, mark your calendars for this not-to-be-missed fun event.

The next meeting is June 17, 1999 and will be at the Sunnyvale Hilton located at Highway 101 and Lawrence Expressway on the frontage road. Dan Wachtler and Greg Morrill will have a dynamic workshop presentation as well as an interesting luncheon speaker lined up to provide valuable information. Hope to see all of you there.
