September Seminar
On September 16, 1999, the SFBA Chapter is sponsoring a one-day seminar on Terrorism
and Emergency Preparedness, which will be held at Silicon Graphics (?). Although
all of the details of the workshop are still being determined, the seminar will cover,
"Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction" presented by John
Lightfoot, FBI; "Emergency Preparedness Implementation"
presented by Tony Smerdel, E.P.I.C. consultant; and "Are
You Prepared for Chemical and Biological Agents in Industrial Sabotage?"
presented by Dr. Harold K. "Hal" Strunk, USN Ret.
This seminar is being sponsored through the Jack Buckley Foundation and will be
available at minimal or no cost to the membership. Brochures, with registration
information, will be in the mail soon. Mark your calendars and plan to attend this
interesting and informative seminar.
