Lawrence R. Rodriggs

ANNUAL SEMINAR AND EXHIBITS LUNCHEON SPEAKER
Lawrence R. Rodriggs, a third generation-born Hawaiian of Portuguese
ancestry, will give an oral and pictorial presentation of what it was like to be a
civilian in Honolulu during the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Based on his book We Remember Pearl Harbor, Mr. Rodriggs will recount the
civilian deaths, damage, curfews, blackouts, air-raid drills, and general confusion that
took place during that dark period of American history. He has been instrumental in
getting civilian names added to the memorial of war dead, and his talk will prove to be a
moving and dramatic look at this side of the story.
