ASIS Luncheon Reservation Policy

The Chapter is facing financial challenges in that costs in general are increasing and
there is increasing competition for available meeting space, which adds to the financial
burden placed on the Chapter to provide high quality workshops and luncheon meetings
An ongoing problem with luncheon reservations is that the chapter must guarantee to the
hotel/meeting place a certain number of luncheons. If fewer members show than was
guaranteed, the chapter must pay for those lunches anyway. This was recently demonstrated
at the St. Patrick's Law Enforcement luncheon where forty plus reservations did not show
for the event.
The Chapter cannot continue to operate in a manner that is not financially sound and as
a result is instituting a reservation policy for all normal monthly meetings:
- Hospitality will require a credit card number to hold all reservations.
- Confirmed reservations canceled less than twenty-four (24) hours before the day of the
event are subject to a $25.00 service charge.
- Confirmed reservations that do not show and do not cancel are liable for the entire
luncheon fee ($25).
- The cost for people who do not make a reservation will continue to be $30 at the door.
All special chapter events such as the Annual May Seminar, Golf Tournament, etc. will
also have Cancellation / Reservation policies, however, the terms will vary depending on
the event.
