Security Management Magazine May 2011 Certification Profile.
Industry News
In my 23 years in the security industry, I appreciate the opportunities to grow and to professionalize my profile. We all learn on the job and from each other, and the certification process provides a holistic approach to many aspects on security. Becoming a CPP was an essential step in gaining knowledge, developing the spectrum of information I had on hand, and in representing my self and my company as a certified professional.
In the Profile in May 2011 Security Management, I emphasize how beneficial the certification process is and how I have grown my arsenal of approaches that help my clients and Securitas. CPP’s are leaders in the security industry and we challenge ourselves in maintaining and growing our expertise. As such, I encourage others to achieve certification and join our ranks. I appreciate the opportunity to share my story with the readers of Security Management and with my colleagues in the profession, here and across the country.

I am currently serving as a member of the Santa Clara County Grand Jury for a one-year term. This is very rewarding work and I am learning much about the County, cities, school districts and special districts, all of which are "fair game" for inquiries and/or investigations.
Unfortunately, Thursday is our busiest day so I will miss seeing all my friends and acquaintances at monthly ASIS functions. Hope to get back to chapter activities in July.
